Lenape Technical School Practical Nurse Program
The Lenape Technical School Practical Nurse Program is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Evening Nursing Instructor who brings both clinical expertise and a passion for educating the next generation of nurses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, Associate Nursing Degree (ASN) Working on BSN
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of one (1) year of nursing education experience or two (2) years of recent direct patient care experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and professional nursing education
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and supporting future nurses
Key Responsibilities As a Nursing Instructor, you will:
- Teach nursing content throughout the Practical Nurse Program, including:
- Level I: Anatomy & Physiology, Professional Role & Communication (PRC), Nutrition, and Fundamentals of Nursing
- Level II: Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Level III: Maternity Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, and Mental Health Nursing
- Level IV: Leadership and Gerontology
- Provide instruction in both classroom and clinical settings
- Supervise and mentor students during clinical experiences
- Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Support student learning and academic achievement
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to maintain a high-quality educational environment
- Foster professionalism, critical thinking, and clinical competence in future nurses
Schedule Part-Time Evening Position
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Thursday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- No weekends , No holidays
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Pay: $35.00 per hour
- $2.00 per hour evening shift differential
- Expected hours: 12–20 hours per week

This letter is formal notification of the action taken by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) at its meeting in April 2026.
Announcement
In alignment with ACEN Policy #9 Disclosure of Information about an Accredited Program you are being communicated the following information that will be available to all of our students and the public:
The Lenape Technical School Practical Nurse Program at Lenape Technical School at the Ford City Campus located in Ford City, Pennsylvania is accredited by the: Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). 3390 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 1400 Atlanta, GA 30326 (404) 975-5000
The most recent accreditation decision made by the ACEN Board of Commissioners for the Lenape Technical School Practical Nurse Program is Continuing Accreditation with Removal of Conditions to the practical nursing program. The next ACEN evaluation visit will be scheduled for Spring 2032.

Dear Student / Applicant,
This letter is to formally notify you that the Lenape Technical School Practical Nursing Program has been placed on Provisional Approval Status by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing (PA SBON).
The Program was notified of this status based on the NCLEX-PN® first-time pass rate of 74.42% for the examination year October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025, which did not meet the Board’s required standard. As a result, and in accordance with Section 21.162 of the PA State Board of Nursing regulations, the Program has been placed on provisional approval.
What Provisional Approval Means
- The Program remains approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- Students who successfully complete the Program remain eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN®.
- Provisional approval allows the Program for a designated period to address identified areas and return to full approval status.
Program Actions
Lenape Technical School is actively conducting a comprehensive evaluation of program components and has begun developing a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) to address factors that may have contributed to the NCLEX-PN® pass rate. This plan will be submitted to the PA State Board of Nursing and implemented in accordance with regulatory requirements.
The Program is committed to:
- Strengthening curriculum alignment with NCLEX-PN® test plans
- Enhancing instructional strategies and evaluation methods
- Supporting student success through targeted academic interventions

The most recent accreditation decision made by the ACEN Board of Commissioners for the Lenape Technical School Practical Nurse Program is Continuing Accreditation with Conditions for 18 months and has requested that a Follow-Up Report be submitted by February 15, 2026, as the program is in non-compliance with Standard 4 Curriculum and Standard 5 Outcomes. If the Board grants continuing accreditation following the review of the Follow-Up Report, the next evaluation visit will be scheduled for Spring 2032.
